Winger breaks arm in freak accident

Tranmere winger Chris Shuker has been ruled out for the remainder of the season through injury. Shuker has undergone surgery on a broken arm after a freak accident at his home last week. It means Shuker will miss Tranmere's last nine games as they look to book their place in the League One play-offs. Rovers boss Ronnie Moore is unsure how the injury occurred but admitted it was a bad break for the player. "Shuker had an accident and broke his arm," said Moore. "I don't know how it happened. But from what I've been told, it was an accident at home and he was messing about with his girlfriend or something. "It's one of those things, I think it was Liam Lawrence at Stoke who fell over his dog and was out for three months. "But it's a bad break. It's got to be pinned and have a plate put in it. "So that's the end of him for the season."
