Boro starlet set for loan switch

Skysports.com understands Rotherham United are lining up a loan move for Middlesbrough's Josh Walker. The highly-rated midfielder saw a similar loan stint with Northampton Town cut short by injury earlier in the season. Walker, an England Under 20 international, has played for Boro's first team in the past but Gordon Strachan is willing to let him leave on loan to garner greater experience. Rotherham are in the promotion shake-up in League Two and see Walker, who can also operate at centre-half, as being an ideal signing. It has been proposed Walker will move to Ronnie Moore's Millers initially on a one-month loan. Meanwhile, Moore has expressed his frustration at missing out on the signing on Gillingham striker Mark McCammon. The Millers looked to be in pole position to sign the former Doncaster man, but the big frontman is now set to join League Two rivals Bradford. Moore said: "Yesterday (Wednesday) everything seemed fine. "We had a call late on from the agent saying he'd had a change of mind and he's going to go to Bradford. It's disappointing for us."
