Millers land Cochrane

Rotherham United have made Justin Cochrane their fifth signing of the summer.

Rotherham United have made former Crewe Alexandra midfielder Justin Cochrane their fifth signing of the summer.

The 24-year-old has signed a two-year deal with The Millers after moving to the South Yorkshire club on a free transfer.

The former Queens Park Rangers and Hayes hit-man made 77 appearances for Dario Gradi's side, but struggled to make a first-team impact with The Railwaymen last season.

After being axed by Gradi at the end of the season, Cochrane was pleased to earn a fresh start with Alan Knill's side.

"I am delighted to be here, I have just come through the town and it looks pretty nice, so I am looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead," Cochrane told the club's official website.

"I enjoyed my time at Crewe, but now I am looking forward to this new challenge."
