Goalkeeper forced off during Robins clash

Millwall goalkeeper David Forde is set to spend the next few weeks on the sidelines after suffering a recurrence of a thigh injury against Bristol City on Sunday. The 31-year-old was forced to miss the Republic of Ireland's play-off match against Estonia in midweek with the injury but passed a late fitness test to play for the Lions on Sunday. However, Forde lasted just 35 minutes of the game at the Den before being replaced by Steve Mildenhall. Speaking after the match that Millwall lost 2-1, boss Kenny Jackett revealed that while the injury was not serious, it is enough to keep Forde out for a significant period of time. "It's his thigh muscle, he felt it was tight," said Jackett. "However long he is out now we have to get it right because it's been lingering for a couple of weeks. "He pulled out of the Ireland squad and obviously it hasn't quite recovered. "It's not badly torn or in a bad way, but we must make sure we get it right now because it can't re-occur again."
