Irish midfielder signs three-year contract at London Road
Peterborough United have finalised the signing of promising Irish midfielder Daniel Kearns on a three-year contract from Dundalk.
Skysports.com revealed last week that Posh manager Darren Ferguson was close to agreeing a deal to bring Kearns back to English football.
Kearns has cost the Championship club an undisclosed fee after impressing during the recent Dublin Super Cup in pre-season.
He caught the eye of Scottish giants Celtic, but Peterborough have nipped in to secure the 20-year-old's signature.
A Republic of Ireland Under 21 international, Kearns has passed a medical with Posh and has signed until 2014.
Formerly on the books of West Ham United as a youngster, Kearns will be in contention to make his Peterborough debut after the upcoming international break.
