Westwood extends contract

Carlisle United goalkeeper Keiran Westwood has signed a two-year contract.

Carlisle United goalkeeper Keiran Westwood has signed a two-year contract with the League One club.

The 21-year-old follows midfielder Chris Lumsdon, who recently signed a similar two-year extension with The Cumbrians.

The former Manchester City and Oldham Athletic custodian has established himself at Brunton Park since arriving in August 2004.

Westwood was integral in Carlisle's championship-winning season in League Two last term.

His performances have prompted Cumbrians boss Neil McDonald to secure the youngster's services for the near future.
