Sheridan hails treble capture

Oldham boss John Sheridan is delighted following his trio of loan signings.

Oldham Athletic boss John Sheridan has told skysports.com of his delight after boosting his squad with a trio of emergency loan signings.

Sheridan moved quickly to snap up Liverpool youngster Miki Roque and Plymouth's Hasney Aljofree, before making a deadline-busting late move for Cardiff striker Luigi Glombard.

The signings concluded a frustrating player search for the Boundary Park supremo, who has been trying to add to his squad for a number of weeks.

"I'm happy I've been able to get some players in," he said.

"Hopefully some fresh faces around the place will further boost the atmosphere within the squad, and get the fans excited too.

"We've got one or two injuries at the moment and I need people in and around."

Spanish defender Roque has already seen UEFA Champions League action with The Reds, while Frenchman Glombard has represented his country at Under 17 level.

Aljofree, meanwhile, is a familiar face - the defender once played alongside Sheridan at Bolton Wanderers.

"Although he was only young when we played together, Hasney did play some first team football at Bolton.

"He's had a great career, is an excellent player and has just that little bit more quality having played at a higher level.

"Meanwhile, to play for Liverpool at 18-years-old like Miki has is some achievement.

"He's definitely one for the future, and you can tell in training he's a Liverpool player.

"Lastly, Luigi comes highly recommended from a number of people within the game, and he's another player who has a lot of potential."
