Lockwood needs knee op

Yeovil Town defender Adam Lockwood has torn cartilage in his knee.

Yeovil Town defender Adam Lockwood is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines after being told he needs an operation on torn knee cartilage.

The 23-year-old had a scan on Tuesday to assess the damage in his knee and results have shown he has torn the cartilage in his joint.

Lockwood joins Andy Lindegaard, Scott Guyett and Gavin Williams on the casualty list at Huish Park.

Glovers boss Gary Johnson is hopeful the operation will not leave Lockwood sidelined for very long.

"The scan has confirmed Lockie has torn a cartilage. He will have to have a minor operation but should not be out too long," said Johnson.

"They say three to six weeks but Scott Guyett, who had a similar operation, was back playing after three weeks."
