Nottingham Forest continued their preparations for the forthcoming Sky Bet Championship campaign with a 2-1 victory at York on Wednesday night.

Second-half goals from Jamie Mackie and Simon Cox saw the Reds come from behind to defeat the Minstermen, who had taken the lead through Tom Platt's strike.

Reds boss Stuart Pearce handed starts to youngsters Dimitar Evtimov and Jorge Grant as well as trialists Amadou Haidara and Mikele Leigertwood, while new signing Chris Burke also made the starting line-up.

After the game, assistant manager Steve Wigley confirmed Forest are yet to make a decision on Leigertwood.

He said: "His attitude is superb. He will play again against West Brom on Saturday and we will make a decision after that, at some point.

"But we do think he might give us something that we don't currently have in the squad."
