Striker happy at Goodison Park

Skysports.com understands Jermaine Beckford wants to stay at Everton despite attracting interest from a number of clubs. Championship quartet Leicester, Southampton, Nottingham Forest and West Ham are believed to have expressed an interest in signing the former Leeds hit-man. Leicester are believed to have tabled a £3million bid for Beckford as they look to bring in a new forward before the close of the transfer window. Everton boss David Moyes is thought to be willing to sell Beckford for the right price as he looks to raise funds for his own transfer plans. However, Beckford is happy on Merseyside and is prepared to fight for his place in the team unless he is told to move on. Beckford finished as Everton's joint top goalscorer last season after netting 10 goals in 38 games during his debut campaign at Goodison Park.
