Winger travelling to Nottingham to discuss personal terms

Nottingham Forest have confirmed an undisclosed fee has been agreed with ADO Den Haag for the signing of Wesley Verhoek. Sky Sports revealed on Sunday that Forest were set to pip Fulham and Rangers to the capture of the Dutch winger. Rangers have spent the past few weeks trying to agree a deal to bring in Verhoek, while Fulham had also shown an interest in the 24-year-old. However, Verhoek now appears to be on his way to the Championship after Forest settled on a deal with their Dutch counterparts. He is due to arrive in Nottingham on Monday to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical before finalising a move to the City Ground. Verhoek was established as a first-team regular at Den Haag when Forest manager Steve McClaren was in charge of Dutch club FC Twente. And McClaren has made no secret of his desire to add new recruits before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
