Baggies keeper extends loan stay at New Meadow

Shrewsbury have announced that goalkeeper Luke Daniels will be staying at the club until the end of the season. The 21-year-old's loan deal from West Brom was close to expiring but both clubs have come to an agreement to prolong the youngster's stay. The former Manchester United trainee has started 22 times in all competitions for the Shrews this term, helping them to ninth in the League Two table. In the 22 games he has featured in, Daniels has conceded just 19 goals and manager Paul Simpson is delighted the keeper has extended his stay. "I'm delighted that we have managed to keep Luke until the end of the season," he told the club's official website. "He's shown what a good keeper he is and it is one less headache for me. I'm delighted West Brom have agreed to the request and hopefully he can continue to improve and develop over the remainder of the season. "He's got everything in his locker and anyone who has watched us regularly over the season has seen that."
