The Iron are preparing for life in League One after securing promotion and he has told Terry Barwick, Wayne Graves and Kevin Sharp that they will not be offered fresh terms.

"It is the hardest part of my job and the only time when I hate being a football manager," said Laws.

"Two of those players have been with the club since they were young boys and they are obviously very upset that they were not be offered contracts."

Meanwhile, Laws has confirmed that new contracts have all been offered to Peter Beagrie, Ian Baraclough, Paul Musselwhite, Paul Hayes, Andy Parton, Michael Rankine and Adam Capp.

Talks are also continuing with Nathan Stanton and Richard Kell.
