Mansfield Town boss Paul Cox admits he is flattered to be linked with the vacant manager's job at Notts County.
Nottingham-born Cox is already well known at Meadow Lane, having begun his career with the club.
He spent four years with County before dropping into the non-league ranks and then moving into coaching.
Cox is now earning himself a reputation as one of the best young managers in the lower leagues, having led Mansfield back into the Football League last summer.
Now, following Chris Kiwomya's sacking, County are on the look-out for a new boss and Cox's name has been strongly linked.
"It's nice to think people think I'm doing a good job at Mansfield," 41-year-old Cox told the Nottingham Post, when asked about the link.
