Leyton Orient's experienced midfielder Matt Spring has lent his support to under-fire manager Russell Slade.
The Os remain anchored to the foot of League One, despite earning a 2-2 draw at Huddersfield on Saturday thanks to a last-gasp strike from Ben Chorley.
Slade's side are still searching for their first league win of the season, but Spring is confident that a three-point haul is not too far away.
"From the first three or four games we were unlucky because all of those could have gone a different way, but then when it drags on into five or six games confidence drains and it gets harder to turn things round," Spring told
skysports.com.
"I think that if we all get together and pull in the right direction then the first win won't be too far away.
Frustration
"Obviously, it isn't a happy camp at the moment because results aren't going our way and no professional likes to lose, so frustration is high.
"However, everyone is 100% behind the gaffer and his methods to try and get us out of this rut.
"When we looked at the run of fixtures at the start of the season I don't think anyone in football would have predicted how badly we've done, but we've got to try and find a bit of confidence from somewhere.
"It's difficult to place your finger on the problem because if we knew what it was we would simply cure it.
"It is one of those things that happens, with players coming in and players going out, but if you look at the arrivals we've only brought in like-for-like replacements for those that left.
"There was a far bigger change to the squad last year, so we just need to keep working hard and try to get through this sticky patch."
