AFC Wimbledon have rejected an offer from Bournemouth for Steven Gregory and expect the matter to now be 'closed'.
Skysports.com revealed earlier on Friday that Bournemouth had made an undisclosed bid to take the midfielder to Dean Court.
However, the offer was well below the Dons' valuation of Gregory and the Football League new boys are not expecting the Cherries to come back in with another bid.
"Yesterday afternoon (Thursday), AFC Bournemouth made an offer for Steven Gregory," read a statement on the Dons' official website.
"This offer is a long way below the club's valuation so it was rejected by the board late yesterday afternoon.
"In subsequent discussions with Bournemouth they made it clear that they will not be increasing their offer and so we regard the matter as closed."
