Defender unhappy to find himself on the bench

Aaron Mokoena is reportedly ready to leave Portsmouth after growing frustrated at finding himself on the bench. The South Africa defender slipped out of Steve Cotterill's starting XI during parts of the second half of the season. And the former Ajax and Blackburn man, who is under contract until 2013, could now be ready to head for pastures new as he seeks more regular first-team football. Mokoena's agent, Dietmar Wendorff, claims that he will be examining the opportunities for his client in the coming weeks. Wendorff told the Portsmouth News: "Like any player, Aaron is not happy sitting on the bench because he wants to play. "I know the basic transfer fee for Aaron and we will start negotiating at £1million."
