On-trial striker scores twice in friendly win over Forest

Thomas Dossevi boosted his prospects of earning a contract at Swindon Town by scoring a brace against Nottingham Forest. Togo international Dossevi has been training with Swindon this week as he searches for a new club after being released by Nantes. He started Saturday's friendly against Forest and displayed his predatory instincts by netting twice in the 3-2 win before being replaced at half-time. The 31-year-old, who was linked with West Ham United 12 months ago, will now wait to discover if he will be offered a deal by Robins boss Danny Wilson. "He can't do anymore," Wilson told the club's official website. "He's had a very good period here if I'm honest - he's looked very good in training and to cap it with two goals was brilliant for him. "He's done himself a power of good, so we'll have another look at him and see what happens." However, former Chelsea winger Fabio Ferreira has been allowed to return to his native Portugal after failing to secure a contract at the County Ground.
