Exeter midfielder makes loan move

Morecambe have completed the signing of Exeter midfielder Manny Panther on a season-long loan deal. The 25-year-old has been with the Grecians since May of last year, having previously spent time with St Johnstone, Partick Thistle and York. He has fallen down the pecking order following Exeter's rapid rise to League One and Paul Tisdale has allowed him to join Morecambe for the rest of the 2009/10 campaign. Shrimps boss Sammy McIlroy is delighted to have secured Panther's services after Fraser McLachlan suffered a serious knee injury. "I need cover for Fraser and Garry Hunter in the midfield position and Manny is someone who I think could fill that slot well," McIlroy told his club's official website. "He has always impressed me when I have seen him. He has a great engine and I am sure he will be a fantastic addition to the squad."
