Tranmere have snapped up former Blackburn and Preston defender Marlon Broomes.
Broomes arrives at Prenton Park on a free transfer after being released by Blackpool earlier this summer.
The 31-year-old has joined the League One outfit on a non-contract basis.
Broomes went straight into the squad for the season opener at Yeovil starting on the bench for John Barnes' side.
The versatile defender will add options to Barnes' side as he can play anywhere across the backline.
