Defender signs two-year contract after trial
Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Crawley Town defender Jake Wright for an undisclosed fee after he impressed on trial.
The 23-year-old has been training with the League One outfit for the past week and caught the eye of manager Russell Slade sufficiently to earn a two-year deal.
Slade had been tracking Wright, who is predominately a left-back but can also operate in central defence, for some time and only required a trial to confirm his interest.
The Seagulls manager told the club's official website: "We had been aware of Jake for some time and we've had some very good reports on him.
"He is a left-sided defender, who can play at full-back or centre-half.
"He is an excellent athlete, a good talker and I am expecting that he will prove himself a quality player."
