Midfielder waits on takeover deal before moving clubs

Stockport County midfielder Gary Dicker is expecting to re-join Brighton permanently next week. The 22-year-old Irish midfielder ended last season on loan with the Seagulls and played an important role in their battle against the drop. However, with the Hatters close to being taken over the club's administrators are not currently allowing any players to be sold, forcing Dicker to wait patiently for a transfer. Dicker, who made nine League One appearances for the South Coast outfit last season, enjoyed his time with Brighton and is looking forward to re-joining them.

Waiting

"My agent is just waiting for the consortium to take over at Stockport, because the administrators don't want to sell anyone or let anyone go until it has all been processed," he told The Argus. "I just have to wait for that to go through and then I can sign. Hopefully it will be done early next week and then I will be able to get the go-ahead and get moving. "Hopefully by the end of next week it will be wrapped up but you never know. It has taken so long already. "I like Brighton and I enjoyed it there last season. I am looking forward to coming back."
