Midfielder attracting interest

A number of clubs have enquired about Tranmere Rovers star Charlie Barnett, skysports.com understands. The former Liverpool youth star is out of contract in the summer and as yet no new deal has been agreed at Prenton Park. Barnett was a key player in Tranmere's bid to reach the play-offs and a host of sides are believed to be monitoring his situation. Rovers boss Ronnie Moore has admitted he is not surprised that there is interest in the skilful midfielder. Recent reports have suggested Barnsley and Blackpool are tracking Barnett, who has been offered a new deal at Prenton Park. Barnett's agent, David Threlfall has refused to comment on recent reports linking the talented midfielder with a move away from Prenton Park but admitted interest is growing in the 20-year-old. "There have been enquires about Charlie," Threlfall told skysports.com. "He is an attractive proposition for a host of teams as he is an exciting player for the future. "Talks are ongoing and we will see what happens ."
