Skipper to leave Galpharm at the end of the season

Huddersfield Town club captain Jon Worthington will not be offered a new contract as manager Lee Clark aims to trim the size of his squad. It was apparent that Worthington was not seen as a first-team player with the Terriers after he was sent out on loan to Yeovil at the end of January. And Clark has now confirmed that Worthington will be leaving the Galpharm at the end of the season. "I have spoken to Jon and he will be looking for a new club in the summer. He's been a terrific servant to the club," Clark told Huddersfield's official website. "He will not be part of my long-term plans and I've already sat down and told him that. I wanted to speak to him before I made a statement, so that's been done."
