Crewe defender considers options

Crewe defender Julien Baudet has confirmed that he is considering an offer to play in America. Skysports.com revealed earlier this week that Colorado Rapids had made a move for the Frenchman. Now the 30-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is considering his options, although he insists helping Crewe stay in League One is his primary concern. "I was surprised by Colorado's offer and I was happy because it showed I was doing something right on the pitch," he said. "But I have told them we are involved in a relegation dogfight at Crewe and that they can talk with my agent because I don't want to hear anything about it. "We are four points clear and I want to be totally focused on helping us secure our future. I want to see the job through here at Crewe."

Crewe stay

Crewe boss Gudjon Thordarson is hoping Baudet will be persuaded to stay with Alex. "Julien wanted to see what was going to happen with me here and now I have to see what I can do," explained Thordarson. "He has been offered an attractive contract in the United States, so we have to sit down and see what we can do about it. "I would be keen to keep Julien. He has done well for us and he has improved. "I've already talked to him, but now I need to speak to my board."
