Stockport striker suffers collapsed lung
Stockport County striker Peter Thompson is recovering from a collapsed lung.
The Northern Ireland international was rushed to hospital after struggling in training earlier this week.
A collapsed lung was diagnosed and he is not recovering in hospital, although he looks set to be out for at least a month.
"I've had a chest infection and with all the coughing I suffered a collapsed lung," said Thompson in the Belfast Telegraph.
"I went into hospital and they put a drain into my chest to help inflate the lung.
"I'm lucky it was caught before the other lung got affected or it could have been a lot worse.
"The nurse said that they were pleased with how I responded and hopefully I should get out in the next day or so."
