Clark keen on striker and Carole training at Galpharm Stadium

Huddersfield are lining up a move for Stockport attacker Anthony Pilkington, skysports.com understands. Pilkington has caught the eye of a number of clubs after impressing at Edgeley Park this season. Hatters boss Jim Gannon is resigned to losing some of his players in the transfer window as he looks to balance the books and Pilkington could be allowed to leave for the right fee. Terriers manager Lee Clark is thought to be in the market for a striker and he is believed to be an admirer of Pilkington, who can also play on the wing. Meanwhile, skysports.com also understands former Leeds United winger Seb Carole is training with Huddersfield. Carole is available on a free transfer after leaving Darlington and Clark has invited him to train at the Galpharm Stadium. If the Frenchman impresses during his training stint Clark could offer him a short-term deal.
