Clough looking to trim squad at Pride Park
Derby defender Darren Powell has left Pride Park after the club decided not to offer him a new deal.
Powell was signed on a short-term deal by former Rams boss Paul Jewell in November.
The 32-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Nigel Clough and the new Rams boss admits a number of other players are available for loan.
"Darren has left. His contract was up and we haven't renewed it," said
Clough.
"The chairman will be dealing with the majority of it, but we have got six, eight or 10 players that are available for loans or whatever and we are working to try and get something sorted with those."
