Former Manchester United youngster Damien Allen is training with Stockport, skysports.com understands.
Allen is looking for a new club after leaving Morecambe at the end of last season.
The 22-year-old turned down a new deal at Christia Park as he seeks a new challenge, but he has yet to find himself a new club.
Allen is now training at former club Stockport as he looks to maintain his fitness ahead of finding new employers.
"It is very strange not to be with a club at the moment," Allen told skysports.com.
"I am a free agent and even though the transfer window is closed I can still move to a new club.
"I am training at Stockport to keep up my fitness and I am waiting for the opportunity to join the club that is right for me."
