Teenage starlet to sign two-year deal

Yeovil have struck a deal with Fisher to sign highly-rated midfielder Kieran Murtagh. The 19-year-old caught the eye of several clubs last season including Fulham of the Premier League and Nottingham Forest. He was named as the Blue Square South side's Player of the Year and he will now link up with Russell Slade's Yeovil squad for the start of the new season. Glovers assistant boss Steve Thompson has been tracking the youngster for some time and is delighted to have secured his services.

Jumped in

He told the club's official website: "There's been a lot of interest in Kieran and he has been on our radar for about six months now. "We have had him watched and Fulham were interested in him. "But we have jumped in and he is set to sign a two-year contract."
