Simpson snaps up Hindmarch and Murray

Shrewsbury boss Paul Simpson has strengthened his squad by bringing in Stephen Hindmarch and Paul Murray. Striker Hindmarch arrives from Carlisle, where he made just seven appearances as a substitute this season. Murray has joined The Shrews following the expiration of his one-year deal with Scottish Premier League side Carlisle. Simpson, who worked with both players during his time in charge at Carlisle, is confident they will help his side next term. "It's good to have two new players on board. I have both worked with them before and they will bring a lot to the squad for different reasons," he told Shrewsbury's official website. "Stephen is a gamble but one that I think is worth taking because I know the type of football he can produce, and Paul is a midfielder who has had a good career. "This season he had a good strong season where he played over 30 games for Gretna in the SPL. "It was a really tough season for that football club but Paul really showed that he can play."
