Defender suffers injury setback in training

Northampton Town defender Danny Jackman is set to see a specialist, after suffering an injury setback in training. Jackman damaged his medial knee ligament in August, and has missed the League One side's last five games. He returned to training on Monday but broke down in the session, and will now see a specialist in a bid to rectify the problem. Northampton boss Stuart Gray explained that the club will not rush the left-back's return. "Danny Jackman tried to come back to training on Monday but he isn't quite right and so he has had to ease back while a specialist takes a look," he told the Northampton Chronicle. "I am pleased we are only playing one game a week for the next few weeks and while we are working hard to get the lads fit as soon as possible, we don't want to rush them and lose them for a longer period."
