Gillingham have continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of versatile midfielder Danny Spiller.
Released by Dagenham & Redbridge in May, the former Millwall man had been looking for a new club.
But he has impressed Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler sufficiently during a recent trial period to be offered a five-month deal.
A product of Gillingham's youth programme, the 28-year-old returns to Priestfield having played for the club until 2007.
