Midfielder released after making seven appearances

Barnet have decided to release Lee Sawyer following the end of the midfielder's short-term contract at Underhill. Sawyer joined the League Two club in mid-January on a free transfer after being released by Chelsea at the end of November. The 20-year-old made seven appearances for Ian Hendon's side and scored in the 1-1 draw at home to Torquay United last month. However, Barnet boss Hendon has opted against offering Sawyer a more permanent arrangement at the club and has allowed the youngster to move on. Sawyer did not make a first-team appearance during his Chelsea career and undertook two loan spells at Southend United, in addition to stints at Wycombe Wanderers and Coventry City.
