Leeds, Cardiff, Watford keen on Stevenage star

Skysports.com understands a number of Championship sides are tracking Stevenage winger Lawrie Wilson. The former Charlton trainee has established himself as a key member of the Stevenage side since arriving at the club in 2007. The 24-year-old has played an instrumental role in Stevenage's rise from the Conference to League One over the last couple of seasons. Wilson's impressive performances at Broadhall Way have caught the attention of several clubs higher up the Football League who are weighing up moves for the player. The likes of Leeds, Cardiff and Watford are all thought to be keeping tabs on Wilson ahead of the transfer window reopening in January. Wilson has 18 months left on his current contract and Stevenage would find it hard to reject a sizeable offer for the player if any of his suitors firm up their interest in the midfielder.
