McAllister bags Nigerian international striker

Enoch Showunmi has become Leeds United's third signing of the summer following a free transfer switch from Bristol City. The Whites had looked to sign Showunmi in January, but he turned down the club and eventually joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan. However, Leeds maintained their interest in the 26-year-old and Gary McAllister has now secured the striker's services on a two-year deal.

Brilliant set-up

"When you look around it's a brilliant set-up," the striker told the club's official website. "I'm delighted to be here. You only have to look at this club with its history and its fan base to see how big it is. "I'm raring to go and I'm looking forward to pre-season and playing games." Showunmi is the club's third signing of the summer following the capture of Andy Robinson from Swansea and the permanent signing of Alan Sheehan.
