Wilson explains Forest move

Forest defender Kelvin Wilson has explained his decision to turn down a move to Leeds.

New Nottingham Forest defender Kelvin Wilson has explained his decision to turn down a move to Leeds.

Wilson, who was also a target for Doncaster, signed from Preston on Monday on a four-year deal.

But the former Notts County man had been all set for a move to Leeds, before changing his mind at the 11th hour.

"I agreed personal terms with Leeds and had a medical, but something didn't feel quite right so I decided against joining them," he said.

"It is flattering to have clubs chasing you, but there was no question of which club I would be joining once Forest came in for me.

"I used to watch Forest regularly as a kid, but I've never played at the City Ground before, so this is a realisation of an ambition and I can't wait to get started."
