Leeds trial Nice keeper

Nice goalkeeper Damien Gregorini is to link up with Leeds United for a trial next week.

Nice goalkeeper Damien Gregorini is to link up with Leeds United for a trial next week.

The 27-year-old has fallen behind youngster Hugo Lloris in the pecking order at the Municipal du Ray.

Leeds boss Dennis Wise is to take a look at Gregorini next week before deciding whether to sign the keeper permanently.

Gregorini will become the second Nice player to train with the Championship club this month.

Defender Anthar Yahia was also given the chance to win a deal with Leeds, but looks set to opt for Bochum instead.

Meanwhile, St Etienne are in talks with Nice to sign striker Matt Moussilou.

The 24-year-old has struggled since joining Les Aiglons last summer and has yet to find the net for his new club.

St Etienne hope to land Moussilou on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer, but have so far failed to reach an accord with Nice.

If the deal does eventually go through, Nice are expected to look at Utrecht's French striker Marc-Antoine Fortune as a replacement.
