Leeds fined for fracas

Leeds have been fined £3,000 by The FA for the brawl against Gillingham.

Leeds United have been fined £3,000 by The Football Association for the brawl in their 1-1 clash against Gillingham at Elland Road.

The charge relates to an incident after on-loan defender Michael Gray reacted to a challenge by Darius Henderson.

Players from each side joined the melee, which occurred near the tunnel, that resulted with the pair both seeing red.

Both players were given three-match bans, however Henderson's was reduced following an appeal by The Gills.

"We attended the disciplinary commission in conjunction with Mick McGuire of The PFA and we put the club's case for mitigation," said a Leeds spokesman.

"The panel listened to all the points and took the decision to fine the club £3,000."
