Division Three Round-up

Hull and Oxford both missed the chance to close the gap on league leaders Doncaster Rovers.

Peter Taylor's Hull side were beaten at promotion hopefuls Lincoln with Peter Gain and Paul Mayo netting the goals for The Imps in the final 12 minutes of the match.

Oxford also let points slip through their grasp as Lewis Haldane equalised in the final few minutes to cancel out Mark Rawle's early opener.

Mansfield also suffered a surprise reverse as they went down 4-2 at Cheltenham.

On-loan Karl Henry put the home side in front three minutes before the break and Damien Spencer made it two just after the hour mark.

The Stags pulled a goal back straight away through Isyeden Christie but Paul Brayson gave Cheltenham a two-goal lead again on 70.

Wayne Corden set up a nervy finish when he cut the deficit to one but Kayode Odejayi made the points safe in the dying seconds for the hosts.

Torquay saw off Boston United with a goal in either half from David Graham and Stephen Woods from the penalty spot to maintain their play-off place.

Yeovil also enjoyed a comfortable home win as they virtually wrapped up the points with three goals in the first 45 minutes against Cambridge.

Gavin Williams opened the scoring form the spot and Andy Bishop made it two just a minute later. A further first-half goal from Adam Stansfield extended their advantage.

Daniel Webb's goal straight after half-time gave the visitors a sniff of a comeback but Colin Pluck killed off any hopes of an unlikely result when he made it 4-1 just three minutes later.

Southend grabbed a vital win over fellow strugglers Macclesfield Town with Lawrie Dudfield's late winner giving The Shrimpers a win that gives them some breathing space away from the bottom two.

Darlington had to make do with an away point at Bury as they battle to beat the drop, despite taking the lead through Barry Conlon on 19. Matthew Barrass earned the home team a point with an equaliser in the second half.

Northampton continued their climb up the table with a 1-0 win over Leyton Orient at home. Josh Low grabbed the only goal of the game midway through the second half.
