Midfielder handed three-year Keepmoat contract

Martin Woods has signed a new three-year contract which will see him stay with Doncaster Rovers until the summer of 2013. The 24-year-old midfielder, who has captained the side in the absence of injured team-mate Brian Stock, has started all seven of Rovers' Championship games this term. Securing the future of former Leeds trainee Woods is the second boost for manager Sean O'Driscoll in recent weeks following James Coppinger's decision to sign his own three-year deal. The Scot arrived at the Keepmoat Stadium on a free transfer from Rotherham in 2007 and initially struggled to secure regular football. A loan spell with Yeovil followed at the end of his first season before Woods established himself as a regular the following campaign.
