Wes Morgan says Leicester manager Nigel Pearson showed no sign of panic during a three-month wait for a win.

A Riyad Mahrez goal was enough to earn City victory at Hull on Saturday and end a run of two points from 13 Premier League matches.

Pearson was charged by the FA over a row with a supporter during that lean run and has seen his side written off by some as relegation certainties.

But speaking at the KC Stadium captain Morgan told Sky Sports: "He has been exactly the same with us throughout, telling us to keep believing in ourselves and keep doing what we are doing, saying sooner or later our luck would change.

"Our fans see us week-in and week-out and they know how hard we are working. We haven’t had the luck we have deserved lately, but this was a different story and hopefully we can continue.

"The spotlight is on us, but when you look at our performances we should not be where we are. We just want to find that winning way and show we are good enough to stay in the Premier League."

A long-range goal from Mahrez proved the difference, and Morgan said: "He’s a constant threat throughout the game and I’m sure opposition teams can testify to that.

"We’ve seen that a few times him cutting inside and placing it into the corner. We weren’t surprised to see that and we just want to see more of it on the pitch."
