Leicester midfielder looking to impress Seagulls

Leicester midfielder Astrit Ajdarevic has linked up with League One side Brighton for a trial. The 19-year-old is looking for a fresh start having failed to make a first-team appearance for the Foxes this season. The Sweden Under-19 international was set to feature for Brighton's reserves against QPR on Wednesday night but the match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Ajdarevic was a member of Liverpool's FA Youth Cup-winning side in 2007 before joining Leicester on loan last season. He made five substitute appearances as City won the League One title to return to the Championship and manager Nigel Pearson saw enough to offer the Kosovan-born player a one-year deal on his release by Liverpool. Gus Poyet is attempting to steer Brighton away from danger as they are just two points above the League One drop zone.
