Leicester have completed the signing of Bulgarian international Aleksandar Tunchev for an undisclosed fee.

The defender joins from CSKA Sofia and has agreed a three-year deal at The Walkers Stadium.

He played a major role in his country's qualification campaign for Euro 2008 and has been capped on 15 occasions.

He becomes the Foxes' fourth arrival of the summer, following in the footsteps of Michael Morrison, Lloyd Dyer and Nicky Adams.

"This is a major transfer coup for us and we are delighted to welcome Alex to the club," said manager Nigel Pearson.

"He is strong and experienced and will be an excellent addition to our squad."

The deal is subject to the player obtaining a work permit.
