Cheeky blow for Tiatto

Leicester City have confirmed that Danny Tiatto has a fractured cheekbone.

Leicester City have confirmed that midfielder Danny Tiatto will be out for up to six weeks with a fractured cheekbone.

The Australian international has had an operation to repair the damage to the facial bone after sustaining the injury in an innocuous challenge during Friday's 1-1 draw at Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest.

The former Manchester City player will now be sidelined until the beginning of February, with Foxes boss Craig Levein lamenting the loss of the tenacious midfield man.

"We don't exactly have an abundance of left sided players anyway, so it leaves us thin on the ground," Levein told the club's official website.

"It's a blow, but we will get on with it and do our best to try and win next week."

Meanwhile, Foxes youngster Chris O'Grady has returned to The Walkers Stadium after his three-month loan with League Two side Notts County came to an end on Saturday.

Magpies caretaker manager Ian Richardson opted against extending the 18-year-old's stay at Meadow Lane.
