QPR quiet on Bosingwa

QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has refused to confirm whether the club have signed Jose Bosingwa.

But Fernandes confirms former Chelsea defender has been discussed

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes has refused to confirm whether the club have signed Jose Bosingwa. Sky Sports sources revealed on Friday morning the former Chelsea defender was set to follow the likes of Rob Green, Park Ji-sung, Junior Hoilett and Fabio among seven new players into Loftus Road. But while Fernandes has admitted Bosingwa, who left Chelsea this summer after not being offered a new contract, is a target, he has declined the chance to announce any deal. Asked if there was any update on the Portuguese full-back, the QPR chairman told Sky Sports News: "None at the moment. I just focus on what we have at the moment. "We are still looking. We are still hoping to strengthen one or two areas." Fernandes added: "He is one of many we have talked about. I'm not exactly sure where we are on that, so let's see." Having narrowly avoided Premier League relegation on the final day of last season, QPR will be hoping for a better 2012/13 campaign when they get under way in London against Swansea City on Saturday. Fernandes will be at the game and will be celebrating one year since taking over QPR.
