Nedum Onuoha's mother and representative has told Sky Sports that a deal with Queens Park Rangers is not set to be completed this weekend.

Talks yet to take place over move to any club

Nedum Onuoha's mother and representative has told Sky Sports that a deal with Queens Park Rangers is not set to be completed this weekend. QPR have revealed that they have made a bid for Onuoha, and City boss Roberto Mancini stated on Friday a deal was close. But now Dr Anthonia Onuoha has moved to clarify the situation regarding her son, insisting that he has a number of other options aside from QPR. "Manchester City officials have not given Nedum permission to meet QPR or any other clubs' officials with a view to holding face-to-face discussions regarding a loan deal or permanent move," she told Sky Sports. "The latest report of a move to QPR this weekend is, therefore, totally inaccurate. "Nedum has two-and-a-half years left on his current Manchester City contract and will only make a move that is right both for his career and family circumstances. "We have a number of clubs interested in him. He will weigh up his options before making any decision." Onuoha has attracted interest from a host of clubs this month, with Bolton, Blackburn, Everton, Wolves and West Brom amongst those believed to be interested.
