Loan switch for Samba starlet

Brazilian starlet Henrique is set to seal a move to England with Queens Park Rangers ready to land him. The Sao Paulo striker is one of the most highly-rated young forwards in Brazil and is a key member of the national Under 20 side. The 20-year-old helped Brazil lift the World Youth Cup last year and he also finished the tournament as top-scorer. He has been linked to clubs all over Europe with big-names in Spain, Italy and Germany all said to be keen. But now it seems he is set for a move to the Premier League with Mark Hughes ready to make him his first signing since taking charge earlier this week. It is believed that QPR have negotiated a deal to sign the Samba sensation on an 18-month loan with an option to then make that a permanent deal in 2013. Henrique himself refused to speak about the speculation, saying: "I don't know anything" when asked. However, his coach Emerson Leao says that he is expecting one of his prized assets to be sold imminently. "Our president [Juvenal Juvincio] is doing what he promised," he said. "I wanted to see people fighting for a place. He understood it was time for a change and these changes aren't over. "Henrique could leave tomorrow or any time soon."

Replacement

Sao Paulo have already moved to sign Henrique's replacement after striking a deal to sign Jadson from Shakhtar Donetsk. The 28-year-old has agreed a three-year deal with the club after shunning a number of options to remain in Europe. "They were exhaustive negotiations. Despite strong interest from major European clubs, we managed to win the race and bring an end to negotiations," explained Sao Paulo director of football Adalberto Baptista on the club's official website. "Jadson was very important in this process. From the beginning he was our ally, making it clear that he wanted to join Sao Paulo. His attitude motivated us further to insist on his signing."
