QPR extend deal with Cook

Lee Cook has signed a new deal with Queens Park Rangers.

Lee Cook has quashed rumours of his imminent departure from QPR by signing a new deal.

The talented winger, who was expected to leave this summer, due to the club's finances, has instead signed a deal that will keep him with the West London club for a further two years.

The 23-year-old is optimistic about the club's future and hopeful that the team will improve.

"We didn't get the results, but I feel really optimistic that this will change next year," he said.

"Some of the football we played under our manager Gary Waddock towards the end of the season was excellent.

"I really think were going to be successful next season. If I didn't, then I wouldn't have signed.

"I believe we will see a different QPR next season."
