Midfielder makes loan move in search of first-team action

Rangers midfielder John Fleck has joined Blackpool on loan until the end of the season and is looking forward to playing on a regular basis. The 20-year-old has made the switch to Bloomfield Road in search of first-team action following limited appearances for the defending Scottish champions this season. Fleck has featured just five times so far, with his only start coming earlier this month against Arbroath in the Scottish Cup. "I just want to play as much football as I can and help the boys get some good results," he told Blackpool's official website.

Paperwork

"Charlie Adam came here from Rangers and did very well and I also know Barry Ferguson from his time at Rangers." Fleck was set to join Sheffield United on loan in August, along with Ibrox team-mate Kyle Hutton, but the moves fell through due to an error with the paperwork. Blades boss Danny Wilson held talks with the player earlier this week about another attempt at a loan, but has now lost out to the Seasiders. Rangers manager Ally McCoist recently said a loan move in January for Fleck appeared unlikely after Kyle Lafferty was ruled out for a number of weeks through injury. However, Rangers have now sanctioned the move with the Championship club, where he join will join forces with former players Danny Wilson as well as Ferguson.
